The 2027 Tohatsu 9.8 HP MFS9.8CEFTUL EFI Outboard Motor provides efficient four-stroke power in an ultra-long-shaft configuration designed for sailboats, auxiliary motor brackets, and boats with taller transoms. Its battery-less Electronic Fuel Injection system delivers reliable starting, stable idling, responsive acceleration, and precise fuel delivery.
Powered by a compact 209cc two-cylinder engine, the MFS9.8CEFTUL produces smooth, quiet performance with reduced vibration. This model features a 25-inch ultra-long shaft, electric starting with manual recoil backup, direct tiller steering, and convenient power tilt.
The integrated power-tilt control makes raising and lowering the motor easier during docking, storage, and shallow-water operation. A front-mounted Forward–Neutral–Reverse shift lever provides intuitive gear selection, while adjustable steering friction helps the operator maintain comfortable control.
A standard 12V, 84W, 7A charging system supports the starting battery and compatible onboard electronics. Additional features include a water-cooled fuel pump, clear fuel filter with water indicator, freshwater flushing port, external fuel tank, and corrosion-resistant marine construction.
