The Si-Tex CVS-128 Digital Echo Sounder delivers professional-grade fish detection and bottom imaging for commercial fishing boats, sportfishing vessels, and serious offshore anglers. Its 8.4-inch daylight-viewable color LCD combines a 640 × 480-pixel resolution with an anti-reflective coating for clear viewing in bright marine conditions.

Dual-frequency 50/200kHz operation provides versatile performance across shallow and deep water. The 200kHz frequency offers detailed target separation in shallower water, while 50kHz provides wider coverage and better deep-water penetration. Depending on the installed transducer, the sounder can operate at 600W or 1kW, with selectable depth ranges extending to 3,600 feet.

Built-in digital signal processing filters unwanted noise and clutter, creating a cleaner presentation of fish, bait schools, bottom structure, and the seafloor. Automatic Fishing and Cruising modes adjust gain, range, and shift settings to produce a reliable image with less manual adjustment.

The exclusive Sona-Tone™ function uses different sounds to identify individual fish and schools of fish, allowing the operator to monitor activity without constantly watching the screen. A high-speed transmission rate of up to 5,000 pulses per minute improves shallow-water detection and target definition.

Multiple viewing options include high frequency, low frequency, dual-frequency split screen, bottom lock, bottom discrimination, bottom zoom, partial zoom, and a real-time multicolor A-Scope. The CVS-128 can also save up to ten sonar screen images in its internal memory for later review.

When connected to a compatible GPS source, the Fishing Hot Spot function helps guide the vessel back to a location associated with a stored sonar image. Standard NMEA 0183 connectivity enables compatible navigation, speed, temperature, and position data to be exchanged with other onboard equipment.

The rugged IPX5-rated display can be bracket-mounted overhead or flush-mounted at the helm. An RGB output also allows the sonar image to be shown on an optional external VGA monitor.
