Brand: Si-TexBuy the Si-Tex SAS-900 Class A AIS Transceiver and Display with color display, 12.5W output, GPS/GLONASS, Wi-Fi, NMEA 0183 and NMEA 2000.
The Si-Tex SAS-900 Class A AIS Transceiver and Display is a professional-grade vessel identification and traffic-monitoring system designed for commercial ships, workboats, passenger vessels, military craft, and other demanding marine applications. International certifications for SOLAS Class A and Inland Waterway operation make it suitable for vessels requiring reliable, standards-compliant AIS performance.
Fourth-generation AIS technology provides dependable transmission, reception, and message processing in congested waterways. The transceiver automatically operates at either 1W or 12.5W output and uses three receivers to maintain effective communication with AIS-equipped vessels, shore stations, aids to navigation, and compatible search-and-rescue devices.
A high-resolution 5-inch, 800 × 480 color display presents nearby AIS traffic through lists and an electronic-chart interface. Compatible optional C-MAP MAX cartography can display AIS targets over detailed charts, making vessel positions, courses, and potential collision risks easier to understand. Day and night display modes support comfortable operation in changing bridge-lighting conditions.
The SAS-900 also supports MOB and AIS-SART alerts, helping crews identify and track compatible emergency beacons. Integrated Wi-Fi, NMEA 0183, and NMEA 2000 connectivity allow AIS and navigation data to be shared with compatible radar, chartplotters, ECDIS equipment, sensors, and other bridge systems.
Its integrated 72-channel GNSS receiver supports simultaneous GPS and GLONASS operation. A compatible external GNSS antenna is supplied, providing the position data required for Class A AIS transmission. The rugged enclosure is rated IPX6 and IPX7 and includes shock and vibration protection for continuous operation in harsh commercial environments.
The SAS-900 combines its transceiver, display, GNSS receiver, chart engine, and connectivity in one compact unit. It is an excellent solution for operators who require professional AIS traffic awareness, dependable data sharing, and certified Class A performance. Features and specifications are based on the official Si-Tex SAS-900 product page and manufacturer’s SAS-900 brochure.
